K&N Filters

Actually, the 3" filters WILL fit the early cars.
I have a 1970 TR6 with the 3" filters. I also at one time had a 69 TR6 with the 
3" filters.  I believe the intake manifold on the early cars was not as deep 
which allows the 3 inchers to be installed. There is approx.3/4"/1" of 
clearance with the front filter and the wheelwell. My car is a stock 
configuration w/ stromberg carbs.
