Oxford Plains is a pretty scary race track.

FWIW, the Cumberland Motor Club (www.cumberlandmotorclub.com) usually runs
and end-of-year autocross at Oxford Plains (usually in conjunction with a
Porsche Club event).

I know that they've had "incidents" there, although the event is usually
cancelled last minute because of snow.

I also know that some of my road race buddies have run there on weekday to
get thier cars set up. You can run either way, clockwise or
anti-clockwise... that's why the one car at a time rule is used.

If you want to run a safer road course, there are open track days at New
Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, NH. I have no idea what driver
credentials are needed but the track has lefts, rights and elevation
changes. Figure $100 per test session (no limit on track time except for
fuel considerations). But this might be more interesting to your
run-of-the-mill TR6 driver.
