Good things if you're selling. Bad things if you're buying.

Frankly, I don't hold much hope a any Triumph ever being really valuable.

Couple the "thrifty nature" of most Triumph folks with the clear "plebian
appeal" of the cars and you get low $$$ numbers every time. Plus the
demand just is not there. There are plenty of examples of cars that sell
for a fraction of what it would cost to build them. Hell, if I sold my
racecar I'd be luck to get $10k for it. That's probably 1/3 of what I have
in the car, if that. Nevermind the thousands of hours of development and
testing. On the other hand I didn't build the car to sell. I built it to
DRIVE.

But if you're thinking about getting money back by selling your TR6 and
you want to compare... look at what freakin' street rods are fetching
these days. To think that I cancelled my Street Rodder subscription 20
years ago. YIKES!

Instead of polishing my TR6, I think I'll take it for a ride.

"TR6 NOS tail lamps on e-Bay - $350 ea.
A 72 TR6 on eBay - $30k
Taking your sweetie antiquing in the TR6 - $800 (for the Eastlake
"side-lock dresser)
Tossing your TR6 into a lurid power-slide - PRICELESS"
