        It always seemed to me that that the later style carb manifold
would
be a nice way to go. Drill each runner for a bung, and you are set. You 
would need to find a suitable style throttle body (2 of them, actually)
and install them in place of the carbs, but the carb manifold is readily
available and cheap. Course, it only works on the later head, but that 
is also true of the PI manifolds too. All PI cars use the wider port
spacing, so if you have an earlier North American car, you would need
to swap the head anyway.
        Has anyone actually tried this approach?
