Elongated in the stock brackets, that's good to know as I thought it might be
due to the design of the adjustable brackets. As one side of the bolt doesn't
have anything to hold it in place, unless you include the tightening of the
bolt.

  I had a set of the polyurethane TA bushings that elongated just as yours
  did.  I replaced them with Richard Good's nylatron bushings and so far -
  so good (no pun intended).
  The poly ones were used with stock brackets when they elongated.
