Hi John,
See attached part of wiring diagram for 1971 in Clifton's Repair manual.
The green should have 12volts when the ignition is on.
To eliminate the switch with all wires disconnected (from the switch) except
ground on fan motor:
Touch green to green/brown or green/yellow and the fan motor should run with
the ignition switch on.
Or, touch 12v from the battery to green/brown or green/yellow and fan motor
should run.
If it runs then the motor should be OK, problem in switch or wiring.
