I've had my eyes open for a factory hardtop for the past two years
now. The problem I keep having is my unwillingness to pay around $700
or so for the hardtop and shipping without being able to first look at
the top in person to get a good look at the parts Vance points out.
It seems that every top that comes up on eBay or other sources is a
long trek from central Ohio. I guess at some point I'll just have to
break down, unless one of my fellow Buckeye Triumph members with a
hardtop would like to get rid of his!
Actually, this does raise a question. As some of you guys may know,
I'm 6 foot 5. I have absolutely no problem with my head hitting the
convertible top when it is up. I'm assuming the hardtop has about the
same amount of head room, but I may be wrong. None of the guys in the
club have ever driven their 6 with the hardtop on while I've been
around for me to test it out.
