When I was getting my TR250 aligned for the first time, the body was sitting
very high above the tops of the tires. I decided to swap out my stock-height
uprated springs for shorter ones. Unfortunately, after a couple hundred
miles, the suspension settled quite a bit and was riding much lower than I had
intended. I was scraping my muffler on seemingly any undulation in the road.
This past weekend, I swapped out the rear springs back to what I had
previously and drove it to work today to get the rear settled in properly.
With the shorter front springs still in, the nose is noticably lower than the
rear now. What are the pros and cons of having different ride heights front
and rear? I can see over the hood more easily and it looks like it is more
aerodynamic now. Will the handling around corners be all screwed up now? Or
will the front end not plow into corners as much? I think weight distribution
is probably more of a factor than anything, but your point of view is welcome!
