About a month ago, I posted an inquiry about the fan on my 6 free spinning.
Just had a chance to look closer at it in the sunlight. What appears to be
happening is the fan extension (and thus the fan) is free spinning. My guess
is the two locating pins have been sheared or came out altogether. It appears
the fan extension bolt is securing the extension to the shaft, so damage is
not eminent except for the free spinning nature of the fan.
1.. To repair, does the radiator need to be pulled to extract the long
extension bolt?
2.. Does anyone see a potential damaging event occurring from the missing
pins?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
