Take your Alternator to any O'Reilly's, Autozone, NAPA Autoparts shop--they=
should be able to test it.

Charged battery and took car to shop. Meter shows alternator is not chargin=
g battery (only 12 volts, not 14.6 as per Dan Master=E2=80=99s book). Buy r=
ebuilt alternator and the same thing happens. Swap alternator for a second=
rebuilt unit =E2=80=93 same thing, battery is not being charged. Tried 3 d=
ifferent meters =E2=80=93 all showed 12 volts. Hard to believe I got 2 bad=
 rebuilt alternators. What=E2=80=99s wrong??
