Over the last couple or three weeks, I've been receiving one heck of a
lot of e-mails, from people who I don't know, which consist of a subject
line, normal type address stuff, but absolutely no content. Anyone else
getting this stuff?

I use a Mac for my e-mails, so I don't think I am regenerating anything
back to others.
