Means that your power valve is working.

Did you set the float height?

Tell us the choke/venturi sizes (usually cast into the side of the carbs), and
we can probably tell you the propper primary and secondary main jets.

Typically, the venturi on a 32/36 is 24 and 27mm.
There are many models of DGV or DGEV or DGAV ECT and many are application
specific, where
a specific venturi diameter and corresponding main jets are needed.
One set of jets may work well in one carb, but not another.

The idle jets are usually not a problem, as you can usually make the engine
idle even of its the wrong idle jet. The worng idle jet MAY still stumble in
the transition between idle and cruising throttle position.

The air correction jets will usually cause a problem at the top end, so dont
worry too much about them (might not even be removable).

The accel pump jet or linkage doesnt sound to be the problem either.

Its been mentioned allready, but if you get some good quality carb cleaner
(not the kind you get in California) you can spray arround the carb base, and
intake
manifold to head interface, and perhaps discover where your vacuum leak is.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, it runs rough regardless of RPM. It only
runs smoothly when I accelerate. Then it is VERY smooth!
