Really guys, the current configuration of runways and taxiways at Devens
allows course designers to set up a course that goes in one direction
only, making one big loop around. That means only one way traffic on
the runways. This is turn means that the entire width of the runway is
used for the course and also eliminates those nasty, tight 180s that are
required on "out and back" runway courses. Grip is quite reasonable.
There's a brand new hotel that is 3 minutes from the site. And a great
Irish pub in town that also makes great food.
