Well, the Galant's primary belt is so toasted, I couldn't wait for team.net
responses. I decided to see what I could see for myself.
I went to the ole-fashioned hole-in-the-wall parts store (the only kind
that still sells Gates in this town) and picked up a set for $30. Then I
took them to AutoZone to compare them to the Kelly-Springfield parts, which
would have been $13. Well, I won't bore you with the details, but the
Gates belts were worth the inconvenience of going to a store that closes at
5pm to spend twice as much.
I didn't look at the Drive Rite belts, but with a name like that, they're
either really good or really bad. Maybe if I've got time to kill next time
I'm at Advance Auto Parts, I'll have a look.
Thats it for this week's product review. Until next time, caveat emptor!
