Also,

Check Spec books for IT. I believe no fluid can be routed through driver's 
compartment witrhout decent protection (aka metal lines). Possible with oil 
gauges, not so with fuel gauges. Autometer gauges make a nice fuel pressure 
unit with an isolater that is installed outside the cockppit environment and 
uses a hydraulic medium acted on by a diaphragm contacting the fuel.
