Sorry to hear, at least it was the bolt one (+ 1 or 2 spot weld) sections.
You can legally build any bolt on bracing you need - no other form of
attachment allowed. The RB cross brace I would argue legally falls into
that category.
Pay attention to the endlinks and their range of motion for binding, and
use the stock ball jointed or heims if you can. My old RB 15/16" ran for 4
years on 2 cars with heim jointed end links with no problem (and
smoothness is not my forte).
