There are adapters that you can bolt on to certain cars that allow you to fit 
wire wheels. Adapters are available from British Wire Wheel for cars with a 4 
on 4.5 inch bolt pattern. They are intended for the MGB.  Somewhere on earth 
there is a Ford Festiva with center-lock Panasports on these wire-wheel hub 
adapters (and a Mazda 1.6 liter turbo powerplant.) Somebody asked DG's question 
on the Festiva list (yes there is one) some time ago. I categorically deny all 
responsibility for giving him the idea ;-).

Maybe DG will see it out playing with his street mod crowd one day. Definitely 
in the spirit of SM.
