Results from this weekends Cendiv BFG series event are up. Event #1 was
on the Grissom AFB concrete (Peru, IN). We had a brief rain shower
during heat 4 on Sun (SS, CS, DS, HSL, STS, SM, BSP, CSP, ESPL, ?) Sat
course very tight, Sun very open.
Some highlights...
SS = Matt Braun was flying in the C5 but Darrel's C4 had cone trouble.
BS = Tom Birchard showed he's quick in RWD too taking the Sat lead but
Steve Telehowski came back on the "cajones course".
DS = Cows like the rain. John Tak in FWD?
ES = "Evil" Rick scheduled to appear Aug 14th ready for Nats.
FS = Classic Ford vs Chevy battle, Jimmy Crawford's first big event
(watch out 2002 Nats).
GS = Matt Grainger's gotten used to the Integra, Ledford burnt out.
HS = wheel spin problems in HS?
STS = Conrad leads day 1 but Fessler comes out on top in his beautiful
Type RS (Pics to follow later in the week)
STSL = Brandi Wray over Fessler and Wines
ASP = the coolest cars on the grid (and the most expensive?)
ESP = Stemler 1st for day one in the 1990 DSM but Merideth's tire eating
Mustang comes back Day 2. Sorry, no BWM's showed.
FSP = Guy St John had the MGB flying
AM = The rain died just after John put the car back in the trailer on
Sun
FM = Drew Doukas fastest in the 69 Beech FV
