    I'm basically lazy...writing 4.5 is easier than writing four and a
half. His car was probably built in 1965, ours was built in 1960...oh,
my heavens! it's 6.5 years! :)
    The point was we did put in a better rollbar, because as time went
on, more is known on how to make a car safer for the driver. In fact,
the rollbar on the 7 as gone through three make-overs, and most recent
strong enough to go through a fence. :) Bruce Camburn's car, the Cobra,
is a very valuable (and on its way to full recovery, I hear) car, which
an old Lotus apparently isn't. He probably effectively argued his case
as a 'historic' car.
    As for Chris O's aluminum rollbar, my jaw dropped when he pulled
that one off. I think he did that after he went into D Mod from AP, many
years ago. I recall he was on the solo board or Prepared committee at
the time.
    Betcha didn't expect such a long answer. :)
