Excellent report, Anthony! I feel like I was there! I am SO PROUD to know
that our autocross community is so filled with world travellers!

Cozmo Lambrusco, sister of my ex-boyfriend Gumbo Lambrusco, gave a similar
account of Greece a couple of years ago.

"It's not that big of a deal, really. It's just all this old crap, and it's
just all pretty much laying around and whatever. I mean, you just walk
around, and you're like, 'Oh, look, another ruin.'"

I've never considered Greece as a vacation spot, but now that you say
there's a kart track there, I'll have to check it out.

By the way, though there is no autocrossing (per se) in St. Petersburg, I'd
still recommend renting a car there because racing is a legal activity on
city streets. Apparently there are no real posted speed limits, particularly
in the center of town. I saw a lot of inside passing through the
intersections. They really use the whole track there. You are also allowed,
even encouraged, to hit pedastrians. When that light turns green, it's no
holds barred. You mow 'em down if you must. I saw no one get hit, because it
was quite clear the street walkers were moving targets. You just learn to
cross streets REALLY fast. So, it was also great physical activity.
