Last night the sidewall on one of my tires was damaged (under suspicious
cirmstances) and I am kinda stuck here. Does anyone have a 205/50-15
used tire I could by cheap that would hold me until America's tire can
get another P7000? I kinda need to be at work on Tuesday, and
I'll have to order the tire in Sacramento or the Bay Area. But the
doughnut I have on there won't get me home, and no-one that I've talked
to has a used tire in that size. In fact, Sears was the only place on
Sunday I could talk to that even had a new tire in that size, and that is
a 70,000 mile tire for $85. (A new tire is $93 from tirerack.)
Also: Anyone know anybody at tirerack? I would order one overnight
shipping, but I fear that since their salemen will be out on Monday
(according to their annoucement) that their order processing will be
out as well. Is that a safe guess? I'm going to order another tire
ANYWAY - I now feel the need for a real spare - but if I could order it
overnight tomorrow and get it TuesdayAM then I'd be quite happy.
