whats the latest on brake pads?

i need a set of rear pads for the cobra.  i was going to get carbotech
panthers, but the lead time is too long (they dont stock them)

any other types to try? looking for some heat capacity for track schools,
but its got to have some bite for autocross and street.  ive used the
porterfield R4S also, which worked well on my slower and heavier rx7.

are the 'carbon' pads the thing for dual use now?
