Computers smaller than main frames hadn't been invented at that time. Thus
a generation of programmers hadn't even been born.

Lemme tell ya about the gas station bell ringers we used to trigger stop
watches back in the olden days, sonny. About that time some smart guy
figured out the device magnetized the stop watches and the clocks ran
slower at the end of the day.   <G>
