Charlie,
at forums.evolutionm.net, the thread on the new Falkens included this info.
Because it was a Falken rep, and then a Falken dealer, responding to requests
with availability information, I'm assuming (FWIW) that the info is meant for
dissemination. The Vulcan site listed below also has a picture of the
tire/tread. Not that we ri-, I mean racers are influenced by such things,
it's so you can make your own guess as to how well they work in the rain.

Guys,

I got a return email from one of the reps at Falken after inquiring about the
RT-615, so here it is: Quote:

The new RT-615 will still have the same amount of great dry grip, but
with the new tread design- slightly better wet weather traction. We also
improved on the Tire's ability to dissipate heat, allowing it to get hot and
not have the "greasy" feel mentioned by users of the RT-215 pattern. I've
listed the new sizes below, availability should be Spring/Summer of 2005.
Sidewall Construction will be changed, we'll have to wait for specs later next
year.Tread wear Rating should still be 200. Prices will probably be about 10%
higher then the previous RT-215 line.

Does anyone want to comment on SCCA's policy of tire availability and legality
for use during a particular season, and how this above release schedule(s)
might play out?

MX's....)
