I recommend you go with an electric fan,instead.I've been through the
pulley-fan testing and found the electric fan to be superior.I am using a
fan thermostat from AutoZone which has been completely reliable.I have it
wired to my battery,through a fuse,so that it runs even after the engine is
off at a set temperature so I don't start off with elevated underhood temps
when I drive it again.When using any type of fan,the key is to have it as
close to the radiator as possible without it touching.To me,the greatest
reduction in temps came from a tranny swap to an AOD which lowers the engine
speed.Also,I found that a puller type electric fan(most are reversible by
reversing the wires)is best.You mount it between the radiator and
engine.Good luck.
