There is a guy literally just around the corner from me that has a bug-eye
that he bought new in england and brought home.  It has been sitting in the
yard for 10 years not running.  Given the local climate, it is amazing that
this car is rust-free (no, not as in he would NOT charge money for rust, if
there was some :-)!  But, he will NOT part with it for love or money...  But
I do make a point of looking at it every chance I get.  I think his son-in-law
has first dibbs on it though.

Locally, it is very hard to find much of anything.  The east side of
Portland has many more "things" of interest.  My side of town (20mins west
of Portland) was all farm land until 10 years ago.  I did find an arc
welder for $200 in a garage sale locally, but didn't buy it...  Snap-On
tools are almost unheard of :-) (too rich for the farmers :-)
