*WHEW*.  Glad to hear it was just the sender.  (Now I
hope you don't have the same sender as a '71 B.  While
I was assembling the race motor, getting one of those
senders seemed like the right thing to do until I 
learned that they cost $110...  OUCH.  I'll install a
mechanical gauge, thank you very much!)

Those sound like terrific numbers for an engine with
104k on it.  My gauge indicates about 30 -- 35 psi
at hot idle (stuck in traffic in summer) and up to
65-70 psi at freeway speeds (call it 3500 RPM).  That's
on an MGB engine, but they're not that different.  (And
I'm about to turn 140,000 miles.  At least I assume it's
140k and not 240k!)

I'd say you've got a fine strong motor, Doug!
