As long as the topic of Europa steering wheels is floating around, does
anyone have an idea for a substitute Europa horn-push? (Y'know, the
button-thingy that goes in the center of the steering wheel.)
I've called around to several parts houses, but the closest I could come
to locating the correct horn-push was from a place in the Bay Area: $50
for a horn-push from the wrong car, wrong year, the Lotus logo in the wrong
color, and I could "...make it work if you just carve off a couple of
plastic bits." This didn't fit my plans at all. I'm more interested in
finding a horn-push assembly that will work than one that's the right
year, color, etc., but $50 seems outrageously high.
Would the push from some other car (with the same steering wheel, I'd
assume) work, or am I looking at the same cost anyway?
