The local experts suspected a TR6's noise/vibration was the throw-out bearing... it was loose flywheel bolts. I wondered if you could check this via the starter attachment hole? In any case the noice and vibration degraded rapidly. I am not sure what the end result would have been, but the old drag racers had a steel shield... The cardboard tunnel should have stopped the flywheel/clutch, right? It was the finest BRITISH paper. Roger |
