First of all, thanks to Chris, Dean and Bob for their suggestions on
possible Lucas headlamp sources. I'll be checking them out soon. BTW
Chris, Fry's did have the spiral cable wrap.

Next request: I'm looking for the "correct" jack for my snake. The
restoration guide refers to it as a Shelley jack. It's a squat cast
iron affair with a pinion gear/screw arrangement at the top of the
casting. The top of the screw has a right angle lip on it. I'm
guessing these jacks were original equipment on other cars besides ACs.
Seems like my Healey jack was similar. I looked through my sacaled
down Moss and TRF catalogs but couldn't find any jacks listed.

To tell the truth I never carried the original jack in the car because
it was so crappy. Mostly I used it for odd jobs around the house.
Unfortunately I wasn't too careful with it and managed to break the
casting a few years back.

Speaking of jacks. I have this old screw jack in the corner of the
garage that came with one of the many cars I've owned over the years.
It could have been the the TD but I don't think so. I think that jack
stayed with the car when I sold it. More likely it was for the 1949
Crosley I sold by the piece. Any Crosley fanatics out there? Maybe we
can deal. Not sure I have the handle, though.

And another request. Mostly likely this was a unique AC piece but what
the hell. I'd like to get the cast aluminum nut that holds down the
spare tire. The one for my snake was missing when I bought the car.
>From the picture I would guess that it's 2 inches or so in diameter.
It's sort of has a hollow cone shape with four "wings" at the fat end.
The narrow end has about a 3/8" diameter threaded opening. Not sure of
the thread pitch but it's fairly coarse. I couldn't find any nuts
around the garage that would screw on to the rod.
