You are all referred to your cable TV guides to seek out the short-run
"Mr. Bean" series starring Rowan Atkinson. Sort of a modern-day Buster
Keaton or Charlie Chaplin in my opinion. One episode has a great sequence
where he leaves the house in his Mini in pajamas (Atkinson, not the car)
and changes into a business suit while driving, not forgetting to brush
his teeth along the way, using the windshield washers to rinse. Putting
on pants involves getting into the back seat and steering with his feet.
Reminds me of similar contortions in the back of my Austin America in my
college days (although I was not alone, and discreetly parked :-).
Twelve years ago, he was in a British series called "Not the Nine O'Clock
News", sort of like "Saturday Night Live". In one memorable filmed gag,
he was blithely waving an endless line of cars onto a car ferry. The camera
slooowly pans along the length of the ferry to the OTHER end, where we see
the same endless line of cars plunging into the water...
