Ever since I purchased my '79 MGB I have not been pleased with its
performance. My previous '79 MGB with the stock Zenith and manafold got
better gas milage and had better acceleration (acceleration now is just not
acceptable) and even a higher top speed than my current MG which has a Weber
downdraft and headers (already enstalled when I purchased the car). I have
tried a few different combinations of jets but have as of yet to find the
answer to my troubles. The local MG mechanic could offer little more help
than to tell me to play with the jets but it seems to me there is more to it
than that. If anyone has experience with the Weber and header setup and could
give me some direction, I would very much appreciate it.
