In Vizard's book, "Tuning the 'A' Series Engine" he discusses carb
conversions at some length.  In his opinion, the downdraft weber
conversion is a very good one.  Very simple and improves
driveablility and performance.  Not enough flow for a race motor,
but fine otherwise.  Apparently the manifold design is quite good,
even compared with the straight through SU type.  I think the
designation is weber 28/36.
