I talked with the machinest-owner of Kip Martin racing engines. He showed
me around his facility: engine dyno, flow bench etc.

He said he could probably get about 115 Hp from the motor with NO cammyness,
i.e., it would be smooth at idle and have low end power to make it
very street drivable. He even said that I would be able to balance a coin
on the engine at idle!! But, he estimated (just a ball park) that it would
run about $2500. I want to spend about $1500 so I'll have some streamlining
to do. I will talk with him on Monday after he has drawn up a proposal
of the work and cost.

Has anyone every bought forged pistons for their LBC?? If so what make
and how much?? That is a major part of the cost (about $5-400) whereas
the standard TR 6 pistons (which fit if you 40 thou overbore) cost less than ha
lf this.

Cheers Dennis
