Roland, my sympathies with your recent spate of bad mechanical luck!

There is a radiator/a-c/gas tank shop here in Madison, WI, that I am
going to take the gas tank from my '68 Mustang to for their "treatment".
They clean, de-fume, and dry the tank, then use a glass-bead blaster, and
then seal all obvious holes by solder, brazing, or patching (as required).
Then they apply a plastic sealer/compound inside of the tank that literally
coats the entire inside of the tank, smooth and copper colored. On the
outside they put liquid fiberglas, followed by another plastic sealer and
then undercoat. They _GUARANTEE_ that there will _never_ be another leak
from the body of the fuel tank!
They convinced me, and it only costs about $75 for a Mustang tank! Is
there a shop in your area that offers the same type of repair?
   C U L8R!

-Tony in WI The opinions and views expressed are mine alone, and
'60 TR3A are subject to change only with the presentation of
'68 Mustang sufficient emperical evidence to convince me that I
'83 Mustang was wrong and you are right!
