My father-in-law, before he was my father-in-law, took a short ride in
my spitfire. His only comment was "Well, it certainly gives you a new
perspective on the condition of the roadbed."
He prefered to have the piece of junk (at the time... ;-)) parked in
his front yard in pieces. He felt that it increased his standing with
the neighbors as a hip guy.
