.... The obvious
place that came to mind was Charlie Rockwell's shop.
Well, Walt told me that he heard that Charlie wasn't in business any
more, so I swung by there the other day. Sure enough, the big
"Rockwell Motorsports" sign and the arrow pointing to the back were
gone. So much for that idea...
Excerpted from a response to the above:
Waitaminnit! I just got off the phone with Charlie, and to misquote
Twain, "the rumors of his death have been greatly exaggerated". It is
true that Charlie has taken a part-time job with one of the Silicon
Valley technodromes, but he's keeping the shop open the other part of
the time....
In case anyone has driven by his shop recently and wondered.
