DAYTON, OH - Farmers rejoice as the spring drought of '94 seems to be
coming to a close. According to Chris Corngrower, the lack of spring
precipitation is directly linked to the "on-blocks" status of Bob
"Bloody Knuckles" Jones' MGB roadster. It would seem that only when
the B is running and availible for top down cruising does
precipitation fall. Meteorologist Ronnie Rainmaker reports that due
to a release bearing failure on Bob's B the Ohio region has seen the
sunniest and dryest spring in recent memory. Rainmaker predicts
showers and thunderstorms for the rest of the week now that Jones has
gotten the car back on the road again.

While the situation was not yet critical for local farmers, there were
rumblings of having a MGaid benefit concert to raise money for the
purchase of parts. H. Ross Perot was looking do get involved,
stating, "see, here's the problem, see, there's this giant sucking
sound coming from Jones' wallet." However, a last ditch effort with
parts salvaged from a nearby parts car saved the day and the MGB
Roadster was up and running late Sunday afternoon. The best month for
roadster cruising Ohio has ever seen may now come to an end and the
hot, muggy, rainy weather Dayton normally sees may now return.

Anyway, it's on the road and running really nicely (I finally got the
electronic ignition sorted out and the carbs tuned up a bit).
Unfortunately, it really is hot & muggy with thunderstorms with
thunderstorms just waiting to develop. Sigh.

Bob

p.s. Scott, I hope this doesn't mean your car has died again!
