It proves your point in theory (cost of the item) but did you happen to get the 
shipping charge to send that engine over from England?  From TRF any order over 
$1000 is probably free, I don't think that the English company is going to take 
your $900 and drop your engine off at your house;  You're going to have to pay 
to 
get that sent here.  True, it might be only three hundred bucks, but it brings 
things more into perspective since now you're not saving $800, you're saving 
$500.

This is a hefty savings - nobody could argue that, but quoting base prices 
without freight inflates the cost difference. 

I've heard rumour of crates that you can use to ship all sorts of things from 
different vendors/places in the country to the port.  Once all of the stuff is 
in 
the crate, it gets shipped across to the US and goes through customs as one 
bundle off stuff and not peicemeal.  The thing about this is that shipping the 
crate is supposed to be much cheaper because, I believe its based on size more  
than weight, so you can fill it up.

Anybody know about this type of shipping setup?
