I heard somewhere (maybe here?) that the use of synthetic oils in older cars, my '73 TR6 in particular, may lead to some damage. I remember some discussion that the new synthetics could "eat" rubber seals. Of course I saw this after I had changed to synthetics. Should I go back to regular oil? Is there any consensus on this topic? Any and all comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! -HC |
