I promise all of you I woun't repeat this little piece of info 
again---(just did it last week), but Pauls' condition sounded so familiar 
to me that I had to respond one more time.

What you are experiencing sounds identical to what I had with my 3000.  
Turns out, that the heat had nothing to do with it--rather, there was a 
clogged fuel filter - INSIDE THE FUEL TANK!

Pulled it off, added outside filter--end of problems!  Could yours be that 
simple?  Hope so!
