Some BritCars are better than others in that department, and whether any
given BritCar heater is adequate also depends on where you live.  When I
got my TR4 I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of heat the heater
produced.  Not that my part of Maryland as much _really_ cold weather, but
this was the first BritCar I'd ever had that kept me comfortable in
winter.  The widscreen defoggers, on the other hand, are woefully
inadequate. 
 
My MG TC is another matter entirely.  It doesn't even have a heater...
