Take one nut and thread it down the stud. Take another nut and tighten it 
(tightly) against
the first (both nuts need to be on the stud completely) nut.  Turn the inner 
nut CCW to remove 
the stud. Since you locked both nuts against each other, they shouldn't turn on 
the stud.
If they do, (and they are tight against each other), there is a good chance of 
breaking the stud off
in the engine, excessive force shouldn't be necessary.  

If the nuts turn and you are putting 
alot of force on it, get help from someone who knows what they are doing.  
Don't beat
on the stud with a hammer, don't use a blow torch right next to the fuelpump!!!

Better go to sears and buy the stud removal tool ( $5.00 ) before you remove 
the skin from your knuckles . Besides you can never have enough tools 
.....right ????
