Ceramic and telfon coatings on the pistons raised my torque curve throughout
the whole range.
about $300 to coat a set. plus an engine rebuild.

Or a lot cheaper, use a lower diff eg 4.1

Hello All,
I was wondering today why do the solex engines have lower power
less torgue that is, in the lower rpm ranges. I know that they have different
cams but is that the only reason?? I hear about things like not having enough
back pressure can do it also.. So, if I install my header kit and put on a
2 inch exhaust with a free flowing muffler and drastically reduce the back
pressure in the system is this going to hurt my low rpm torgue more??
What theoretical things could I do to a solex engine to give it
more oomph down low??
