Hey all,

With all the talk about the new list, I thought I would let you know of a
chain of events that met my needs from the old list and encompassed
contributions from coast-to-coast.

I recently posted about needing a passenger seat belt for my girlfriend. All
I could tell was that there were two holes, one in the transmission tunnel
and one on the floor near the package shelf that accomodated the seat belt
bolts. I asked for advice.

Within 24 hours, I have the following information:

The bolt holes are threaded. (Didn't know that)
The size of the thread is 7/16" 24 tpi (Didn't know that either)
A list member has some original stock belts from a 67.5 that he will sell me
Another list member posted about a company that restores seat belts and
posted the URL
Since I have an after market belt right now, I plan to install the stock
belt for the passenger and send the other belt off the restorer for a quote
on getting them restored.

This information came from 4 different list members from across the country.
It just goes to show you that what the list does for me and why I will stay
with it.
