Gary,
On just about every car I have seen, the weatherstrip goes all the way to
the edge of the windshield. On the door side it stops near the top of the
pillar. There is a small cap that goes over the edge so you don't gouge your
back when you get into the car. The caps are hard to find unfortunately.
