I have one that came off of a 67.5, did not realize they are so hard to
find.

Hello All,

Since I am now in the process of tearing my 67 2000 apart in preparation for
its restoration, I am more than ever concerned about getting the right parts
for the job. Really, the only thing left I have to make this a "true
restoration" would be a non-smog head. The one I have now is a smog head
that has plugs in it. I remember a few weekends back when I was at CDM and I
was kidding Les about finding a U20 non smog head on his shelf full of heads
he responded "If there is a non smog head up there, it is mine!" I know they
are rare.

There is one on ebay right now. Came off of a Canadian car as they
apparently didn't have the requirement in 1969. I am sure the thing is going
to have a high reserve on it. My question is: Is it worth it? What benefit
other than having an original part is there? Sure it would be great, but
after paying for a new timing set and looking at BIG bucks for a new
steering box, I can't imagine forking over the big bucks when the head I
have now works fine.

List?
