Hi everyone,

I've been following the thread on wiring up a GM alternator and I have a few
questions. I have mine wired up with the white wire attached to the output
lead and nothing else. If I don't run a 10 GA. wire directly from it to the
battery I run the risk of blowing the ammeter. Is this correct? The guy at
the place I bought the alternator told me to connect one of the other two wires
coming out the alternator up to the wire that was hot going into the old
regulator when the ignition is on. Is this nessecary? I don't have the car
running yet but I don't want to wreck something once it gets going.

Thanks for any advice,
