in a 1600 it's 3.90.

Try a Ford rear and forget about Subaru rears as they're for IRS cars like
Zs and 510s.

The Ford rear should be able to be made to fit your car by any competent hot
rod shop or they can tell you where to get it done. Check out Hot Rod
magazine.
