Hi Ivin,
it sounds like the internals of the pivot are well and truly gummed up
or even worse corroded.
My guess is that without dissembling the retaining nut, giving it a
good clean and re-fitting it, your grease gun hasn't got a chance.
I recently lubed some brand new ball joints (for my 510) in a vice on
the bench and it was a struggle to get it all to happen. It all looks
so easy and if done regularly I suppose it is.
A pressurised gun may do the trick, do you have access to one??
I am assuming you are using a hand lever type gun which can be a pain.

Subject: Zerks...problems

I began to grease the Zerk fittings since I can only assume that the
PO
greased them years ago. Anyway, on the upper A-frame shaft, I can
grease the
zerk in front but the rear one (closest to the firewall) would not
take in any
grease. I replaced the fitting, and when I tried to add grease, it
still will
not take any grease in. Any suggestions?

Thanks

ivin
